Black and White Pictures
Some From the 60's and Some Before

Some people are remembered for their accomplishments, some for their humor, some for their antics, some for their shyness, and some for their knowledge. Like other communities, Haddam, Kansas, has/had it's share of citizens who fit these characteristics.

A local businessman/councilman has a collection of pictures taken in Haddam in years past. This Web master was lucky enough to borrow some of Jay's pictures to scan so these black and whites from the 60's and older can be shared with the rest of the world. Maybe someone shown on this page will be someone you, the internet viewer, remember. Maybe you will discover a relative as you seek genealogy information through this means.

Take time to savor the efforts of those that had the foresight to take the pictures and those who had the wisdom to save and keep them. Lastly, appreciate those who were generous enough to share.

And An Icicle Christmas Tree

The photo on the left is probably one of a kind.

The flag pole in the background stands in the middle of the main street.
An icicle had formed so tall that town people decorated it as a Christmas Tree
